Outdoor Water
- Choose native plants for landscape, as these will use less or no water.
- Specify drought tolerant and xeriscape plants in arid regions.
- Use water- efficient irrigation methods such as drip irrigation, or use of weather based controllers.
- Use non-potable water. Non-potable water includes gray water, captured rain water, or municipal reclaimed water.
- Install sub-meters to track water use, and inefficiencies if any.
