You are eligible to appear for LEED GA exam if you satisfy any one of the three conditions:

1. LEED Project Involvement: You have experience working on a LEED registered project, OR
2. Employment: You have experience working in sustainable field of work, OR
3. Education: You have enrolled in or completed Education Programs that address green building principles.

How to document experience for LEED GA Exam?

You should document experience in the form of a letter from and signed by your supervisor/ client/ project manager/ teacher. This letter should describe your involvement on the job/ project/ classroom. The relationship between the author of this letter and you should be  clear in this letter.

The letter must be on a letter head, and the letter itself should not be more than 750 words.

1. Documenting LEED Project Involvement: 

• As part of LEED registered project team, you should be providing support by researching, managing templates, coordinating meetings, tracking consultants/ contractors, or keeping documentation for review, etc. This should be stated in the letter.
• Submit a screenshot of LEED Online which captures project name, your name and your role in the project.

2. Documenting Employment:

• The letter must state how your profession or company relates to green building industry or environmentalism.
• The letter should clearly state your job title, and dates of employment.

3. Documenting Education:

• The letter must state the names of courses for which you were enrolled, and also the names of course providers.
• State dates of your enrollment for the course.
• Explain how the course(s) relates to green building or LEED.
• In case you cannot get a letter from your course provider, GBCI will also accept an official transcript or certificate of completion.
